Going to Internet World 2012 in London

Here is the big announcement – I have managed to snatch the last speaker spot at the Internet World 2012 taking place in London next week (24 – 26 April 2012). I will be speaking at the free for all seminar on Thursday, 26 April 2012, as part of the Digital Solutions Theater. The workshop starts at 3 PM London time and should last 20 min. This is perfect – I will be speaking about “VAT and Monetisation” after all and my guess is that if I speak a minute longer everybody will be running out of the hall (through fire exits or jumping out of the windows if necessary).

The main message of the workshop is: Internet taxation (VAT is a significant part of it) is coming, it will have a huge impact on e-commerce profits, it is possible to prepare for this and pass the tax onward, and if you choose ignore it, your e-business will be shut down. Get ready for 2015 on time.

I will keep the workshop totally non tax technical and keep my public animated. The best thing is that the workshop is part of the last batch of the workshops for the day and if anyone would like to dig into the details, we can easily do this without fearing to be kicked out of the hall. I will publish the slides after I return back to Switzerland – for now you should simply know that I had great fun putting them together and that the workshop will be fun for all participants.

I will be at the show on Tuesday, 24 April 2012, and Thursday, 26 April 2012, and hope to meet as many people as possible, expand my network, wonder about new trends in e-commerce, mobile communications and internet and enjoy myself as much as possible. If you are also visiting the show, please send me an e-mail or tweet or call me or contact by any of the other means.
